Publishers Weekly - UK Publishing Spotlight 2024

Not a review but just a note. just a quick overview of the publishing industry no overlap with tech and eBooks but can be helpful to look at with regards to partner publishers outside of the ones we are already targeting

@dwayne reviewed a book “Project Hail Mary” by Andy Weir
Project Hail Mary

This was an interesting and engaging read. The author has a great sense of humor.

Even though it is science fiction it was still grounded in reality, where the concepts were not too far fetched. You could tell that he spent time to learn a few concepts while writing this book. If you like sci-fi, technology and aliens then you should check this one out.

My second SF novel completed as an adult. :)

@dwayne reviewed a book “Growth Hacker Marketing” by Ryan Holiday
Growth Hacker Marketing

If you are looking for a book to get a light introduction to growth based marketing aka growth hacker marketing this will be a good book. It allows you to understand the mindset and reasons for using growth hacking strategies.

This book was meant to be an introduction and does not provide actionable steps to take in your own business. Would recommend Hacking Growth: How Today's Fastest‑Growing by Morgan Brown and Sean Ellis that I am currently reading.
